Extracurricular athletic activities are offered to the students in grades 5 to 8 and are contingent upon academic eligibility and behavior appropriateness. The athletic programs include Girls Volleyball in the fall, Basketball for both boys and girls during the winter, and Boys Volleyball in the spring. Cheerleading is also offered for girls in grades 4 to 8.
A band program is offered to students in Grades 4 to 8 through Music Education. Band instruction is provided for students in grade 4 (Beginner) during the school day in lieu of Music class. All other band instruction is provided directly after school. Parents contract with Music Education for the instructional fee and other materials associated with band membership. Band may only be dropped at the end of a trimester. We strongly encourage first year band students to a full year commitment.
Chess Club is offered to students in Grades K to 8 through Bright Knights for a fee. This program runs after school on Tuesdays immediately following school dismissal. Students are engaged in learning chess and participate in local chess tournaments.
Drama Club is offered by Mrs. Hinsdale to students in Grades 6 to 8. This club encourages participation in the fine arts and for students to share these special talents. Each year, the Drama Club performs a play for the entire student body during Catholic Schools Week.
Stem Club is offered to students in Grades 5-8. The club meets after school on a monthly basis. The purpose of this club is to foster an interest in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Mrs. Janousek and Mrs. Winters are the moderators for STEM Club.
Student Council is offered to students in Grades 4 to 8 and is contingent upon academic eligibility and behavioral appropriateness. Student Council meets after school monthly. This program provides students the opportunity to lead service projects and build positive school morale. Miss Monterosso and Miss Drenner are the Student Council moderators.
